Ron Reinartz grew up in Cleveland; Ohio; and had an interest in everything that flies since an early age. He went to Cleveland State University; graduating with a Degree in Economics and Accounting. He then performed his active military duty in the USARNG and USAR; as a Combat Engineer Officer. During this time; he had exposure to rotary wing aircraft. Fred joined the faculty of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of North Dakota in 2000 and is currently an Associate Professor. He received his M.S from the Department of Atmospheric Science at the University of Wyoming in 1989; and his B.S. from the School of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma in 1982. He served as chief meteorologist for Weather Modification; Inc. from 1996 to 1999 in Fargo and as a broadcast meteorologist for KXJB TV-4 from 1999 to 2007.
