Matthew Elia

Matt is a Flight Instructor and the Chief Ground Instructor for King Aviation Mansfield at the Mansfield; MA airport. In addition to primary student training Matt organizes; manages; and co-teaches all of the ground schools at King. Matt holds a Bachelors degree in Aviation from Bridgewater State University and is currently working on an MBA at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. While at BSU Matthew led the competitive flight team to earn a bid to the annual national collegiate flight competition during each of his four years. During that time Matt placed first or second in seven separate competition events including first place in the short field landing event at the 2008 regional competition. Matt's writing can be seen from time to time in the Mentor magazine; the official publication of the National Association of Flight Instructors.
