About:
My name is Daniel Booth. I am a flight instructor currently serving the Birmingham; Alabama area. I am dedicated to teaching and training individuals how to become safe and proficient pilots. I began my journey as a pilot back in 2002. Soon after I attended and graduated with a degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University; and since then I have enjoyed gaining experience and passing my knowledge on to my students. I take great pride in my teaching. It is my ultimate goal to give the highest quality of instruction to each one of my students. I do not claim to have all the answers; because I do not. However; I will do my very best to teach and train you to become the safest pilot you can possibly be. Learning to fly is an ongoing process. I am constantly learning new techniques and facts from various resources and even my students. If one does not keep up with the frequently changing environment and technology; they will be left behind. So; if you want

Through my relationship with local examiners; exams are available within a week rather than national waits averaging four months.

About:
I was an Army helicopter pilot that came to Louisiana in 1979 to fly for PHI to the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. I flew EMS helicopters for PHI and Metro Aviation from 1985 until 2008; flying out of bases all over the eastern U.S. I have been an airplane CFI since 1982 and have owned several airplanes. From 2009 until 2016 I was employed by the FAA as an Operations Inspector; working out of the Baton Rouge FSDO. In this postilion I was exposed to many of the mistakes that pilots can make that can get them into trouble and like to incorporate this knowledge into my training. I would prefer to specialize in Biennial Flight Reviews and instrument currency flights for rated pilots but might consider instrument training or CFI prep.

I have been a flight instructor since 2001. I have over 4000 hours. I teach high performance; complex and multi-engine. I believe that a person can as easily learn to fly a high performance complex aircraft as a simple aircraft in about the same amount of time. After all it is only two more switches or checklist items. But you must find an instructor that teaches the way that you learn.
